The career steps within HPO
With a diploma for your undergraduate studies you can apply for a traineeship. With a master degree you can start working as a consultant with HPO.

Your development and your promotion to the next higher level depend on the one hand on the skills that you bring along and on the other hand on the performance that you deliver on and along the projects.
In the biannual performance appraisal the level of your competences in the four areas professional competence, methodical competence, social competence and personal competence are assessed. Together with your reviewers you define the development targets for customer projects and internal fields of responsibility. The target achievement is evaluated in cooperation with the project manager during and at the end of a project.
Training and further education
Over the last few years HPO has been working on the development of a continuous further education conform to the different levels of their consultants. The training and further education measures serve to make so-called high performers out of ‘rough diamonds’. On the basis of the 'HPO development diamond' the appropriate trainings strengthen the competences of our consultants in the three dimensions: consulting skills, project management skills and selling skills. Within these three dimensions HPO distinguishes between modules focusing on basic training and continuous further education.

Base Camps
HPO Base Camps ensure the basic training and consequently the development of decision making skills of the employees. As a new consultant you can enjoy a two-day boot camp in your first year in the course of which you can practise intensively our methodology in a case. Additionally you will be trained basic consulting in further training courses. Among these there are excel-training and interview and presentation techniques.
Knowledge Workshops
Measures of the continuous development aim at the preservation and the development of the decision making skills and responsibility of your members of staff. Thus about six internal knowledge workshops are held per year. Each of these all-day workshops in our office in Freienbach SZ focuses on one aspect of our methodology. Between the methodical boosters as well as appropriate case studies taken from our own practising consulting and common examples of use there is enough time for talks between consultants, project managers and partners.
